Enrollment in the ExRHM Program is selective and involves two steps:

1. An application for admission to The University of Alabama and

2. An application for admission to The Executive Restaurant and
Hospitality Management Program (ExRHM) through the College of Continuing Studies

A. Application to The University of Alabama

To complete the online application for admission to The University of Alabama go to the Academic Outreach website at: www.bamabydistance.ua.edu. Select the "Prospective Students" tab and click "Undergraduate Admission." Follow the instructions as given to create an admissions login ID and complete the application. B. Application to the Executive Restaurant and Hospitality
Management Program (ExRHM) through the College of
Continuing Studies

After submitting an application The University of Alabama, then apply for admission to the ExRHM Program. You may access the " Student Data Form" from: www.bamabydistance.ua.edu. Select the " Prospective Students" tab and click on the

The University of Alabama requires a high school diploma or equivalent of all its applicants and a 2.00 overall Grade Point Average (GPA) for college credit already taken. While not required, previous college work will be advantageous for ExRHM applicants.

Following formal admission to the University, the application to the Executive Program will be reviewed. As an ExRHM applicant, you must:

• Be 25 years of age or older and be a resident of the U.S.
• Have a minimum of three (3) years employment as a
manager/supervisor in the hospitality industry
• Have educational goals attainable through the ExRHM
Program
• Assume responsibility for learning
• Provide two letters of recommendation from current and/or
past employers
• Participate in a phone interview with the ExRHM Committee
regarding educational goals

Applicants selected for admission will be notified by letter.
